DineTogether: Discriminating Tastes?

- 新着ケース
In this Quick Case, students follow protagonist Alicia Ramos, chief executive officer (CEO) for DineTogether. DineTogether is a startup with an app that enables strangers to meet, bond over a shared love of food, and create meaningful human connections. The app connects "host" customers organizing themed dinner parties with "guest" customers that can apply to participate in said parties; users can also request hosts to include them on the guest list. Although DineTogether has done better than the cofounders have expected, Alicia has become increasingly concerned about an unanticipated problem: complaints from consumers that a sizable portion of hosts appear to be discriminating against certain applicants. The CEO must now decide how to respond, and the four potential options presented pose various risks.
